The Crafty Weasel sent a nice email asking how everything is going. And she is correct, we have been house hunting, car hunting, and school school school!!! I have two weeks if classes left and several papers, summaries, and presentations left. DH bought his replacement car after the last one was totalled. And we have something else to announce but I am waiting on announcing it as I want to get through the next two weeks.

On the knitting front. I have the Debbie Bliss sweater to finish. Ok, here I am knitting both sleeves at the same time and somehow one is larger than the other. Then, I am starting the Log Cabin Blanket for a Christmas gift. Anyways, I ramble and I have serious work to get done. I am two weeks behind in all my classes and I have a week to catch up. Agh!

I did good. After much debate after a delayed start today and no obvious plans, we opted for Barnes and Noble. The primary reason involving me having a gift certificate and knowing what to do with it. So, we ventured down Rt. 3 and I immediately knew two things.

1. Stephanie Plum mystery Eleven on Top by Janet Evanovich. The Plum books are hysterically funny, quick to read, and oh so entertaining. I haven't read a book for pleasure in a while. In a few hours, I am 2/3 done.

2. Knitting Nature by Norah Gaughan. Mary at sns introduced this book to me and I loved it. It reminds me of Loop-D-Loop (from the same publishers). There are a few pieces I would love to make but I am still in that leaping into the sweater knitting.

We enjoyed a table and chair as I read my book and sipped my Blackberry Green Tea (no whip) Frappucino when DH recognizes Eva and Ed at the cafe. It is always nice to run into friends out and about. Anyways, we are cooking up some snow crabs and then hitting dvd movies (while I work on my papers!).

Happy July 4th!

So, DH and I have been fixing up our place, getting ready to put it on the market, and while painting trimming near the ceiling I took a backwards splash hitting something. Certainly, I hit the floor but I hite something else. And because I saw the paint spilling in slow motion, I jumped up to fix everything. After a ruined bra, a ruined new pair of capris (in the process of being somewhat recovered), and a few other articles of clothing which was easily sacrificed, I am in pain. Anyways, curtains should go up tomorrow, be damned the radiator covers. OK, we ordered radiator covers over six months ago, and not only were they delivered late but the wrong size. That was supposed to be a selling feature. But, I ramble and simultaneously ache. Oh, I ache.

No knitting. Not with painting, cleaning, and more painting. Speaking of, I have more cleaning tomorrow first thing in the morning, then an orientation meeting, then people to give opinions on what to do with the home. Clean, clean, clean. Declutter, declutter, declutter....pain, pain, pain...
