Anyways, HP is done. Well, 14 bars are done, and I will be weaving in the ends shortly. I haven't started my Ravenclaw scarf as I think I need a small break from redundancy. However, I will probably pick up shortly as my BBBB has hit an obstacle. The needle broke. Actually, it is not so bad the circular needle separated from the cord, but the blanket is in tact. I do need a new needle and sadly another skein or two.

Well, despite my short break typing this entry, I am gearing my energy to read Gestalt theory and the following chapter in my book so that I can write two summaries for class this Saturday. Ugh. Summaries.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Cheers to all those proud to be Irish and to those who enjoy this holiday no matter what.

Knitpicks order has arrived! Happy Dance!

Huh? Yeah, that's what Ben is making for dinner tonight. One small miscalculation. It appears the recipe calls for 1.5 pounds of salmon and we only defrosted maybe a half pound (which makes maybe two salmon burgers?). So, he has ventured off to the store in search of one pound of salmon to complete his mission.

We did a little cleaning up when I returned from work today and due to the lovely weather, I do believe my spring cleaning buzz is kicking in. We organized our bills and paperwork, tomorrow, I may brave cleaning the balcony which has become a haven for excessive excesses.

I did want to update on recent projects. I have to make an effort to take photos of all the goods. My order of Knitpicks yarn arrived on Monday. Ironic. The yarn I need to complete the HP scarf arrives after the weekend. Anyways, I progressed a bar and hope to finish in a week. The HP scarf took a slight delay because I was focusing on a new Big Bad Baby Blanket. Also, completed is my SIL's new skinny scarf in her favorite color. Other than that, you might notice a navy blue and grey in the Knitpicks order which is for my (yes MY) Ravenclaw scarf.

On the news front, it appears we will be traveling to England in August for Ben's sister's wedding. I have already scoped out two possibilities to pick up Colinette yarn, but I should probably determine a project now so I know exactly how much I need, etc.

Now, I must return to my reality and feed the cats before the join forces to overthrow our home.

Izzy has been found resting on top of stash basket #2 (acquired a la Homegoods) which has been decorated with kitty beds that need to be washed and given to their intended parties.

The mysterious and hardly seen Ella. Rarely do we capture her in photos and most times she looks very upset, I might even dare say, pouting. She's a very friendly, prissy, and happy cat. We have learned you can find her most times in the kitchen when you go to grab a soda.

All the colors of the baby rainbow, soft whites, yellows, blues, pinks, and in some instances a touch of pale green. Who am I and where am I going?

I am done! I was fun, I was relaxing, and I didn't require a lot of light to be knit as I apparently am very bright.

Look at me! I am ribbon, I am fun fur, I am softy softy, and I am hot pink!

12 rows and counting, that means 2 to go!

For those who love all things Harry Potter, check out Whimsic Alley. The store is located in Southern California and was actually designed by a movie set designer to resemble Daigon Alley (there are lots of pictures). They sell all the houses ties, scarves, sweaters, and cool candy items. They even sell wands!

Otherwise, I have just placed my trusty order with KnitPicks for the remaining yarn needed for the Gryffindor scarf and the Ravenclaw scarf. Money used was through a scrapbooking project for a friend. Speaking of, I received the nicest thank you from the recipient on ym answering machine which brought a smile and tear to my eyes. By the time the next HP film is in the theatre we will be sportin' our scarves.

Oh yes, Oh yes, I have. I have joined another ring, and why not, with my recent attraction to knitting a Gryffindor scarf. Soon, I plan on starting the Ravenclaw scarf.

Yeah, I just picked up my gold medal from the Yarn Harlot. I was very proud of my poncho which I have worn almost everyday and keeps me nicy and warm. I loved this project. Based on the time I could commit to knitting, my inability to make things fit me, and overall hesitation to work on this project, I was elated to finish my poncho (and wear it!).

Catching up with some of my bookmarked blogs (something I know have to do at night or on the weekends due to my lack of internet during the daytime), I came across a reading meme I caught on Sittin' Here Knittin'

Meme instructions : Look at the list of books below. Bold the ones you've read, italicize the ones you might read, cross out the ones you won't, underline the ones on your book shelf, and place parentheses around the ones you've never even heard of.

The Handmaid's Tale - Margaret Atwood
The Bell Jar - Sylvia Plath
Dune - Frank Herbert

Unfortunately, I couldn't work my mojo to cross out but rule of thumb J.R.R. Tolkien will not be read by me as I had attempted to read Lord of the Rings before the move came out and thought it was painful and despite seeing all three films thought they were painful as well.

I haven't read books in a while and considering I used to read so much, that is sad. Now that I am taking college courses on Counseling, I have to read a lot, but now I have the reading bug hitting me. I may actually start with Harry Potter as I love the movies.

Speaking of Harry. I reached 11 bars on the Gryffindor scarf. Suddenly, working on the scarf has taken a long time and the primary reason the scarf has slowed down is because I realized I lacked sufficient yarn for the project. I followed the recommended amount and I am short 2 skeins (possibly 1) in the burgundy. Can you imagine ordering 1 skein from Knitpicks? Well, neither can I, especially when $40 qualifies for a free shipment. Sadly, I am on strict yarn diet and cannot spend what Rachel Ray recommends for the daily amount of money to spend on food when travelling. Thus, I slowed the knitting process to extend the pleasure of the process. Oh well.

Let me leave this post on a positive note. I received an A on my largest project for my class, and have been receiving similar grades on my weekly summaries, so it appears I will do well in the class. Most important, the graduate school received my application and made a few requests which I adhered and now I believe my application is considered 100% complete. Yeah!
